ABOUT

Media Village is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). We are the College of Communication for the University of the Nations (U of N), which is the training arm of YWAM.

We have a twofold vision: TRAINING to sculpt futures by faith, and PRODUCTION to enhance Stories told by faith.

In the past ten years we have trained over 400 students from 40 nations. Many of these students are currently in their own countries influencing others through mass communication. Our success has not only been felt in the Christian community, but a secular media organization called National TV and Video Association (NTVA) has awarded our students over 64 awards in the past seven years.

We believe that mass communication is a mission field that has not been affected with the Gospel. The Christian community shouts loudly against war, sex, crime and video violence, but we have often failed to infiltrate the ranks of media and present alternatives that reflect a healthy lifestyle based on a Christian worldview.

Media Village Kalk Bay focuses on the continent of Africa - we are African and we understand the nuances of our people. Our goal is to use media as a tool for presenting the Gospel through preparing our students for a career in the industry as well as in missions.

After the completion of the DTS, a student can either continue studying to obtain a degree, or an associate degree with the College of Communication. Students also have the option to study subjects individually.
