Learning by Doing

“Tell me and I will forget- show me and I may remember, involve me and I will understand.”

Doing and Learning, doing and remembering this is the heartbeat of the training philosophy at Media Village. Academic days vary between sitting in the classroom and getting hands on practical experience.  The truth is we love getting our hands dirty while we learn. Media professionals teach information that is current and relevant and Media Village tutors apply the knowledge.  Their work is evidence that this approach has produced many talented media communicators. All teachings are done by educators that not only teach the subject, but are activly involved in media practices.

Modular Education

So often students sign up for a course and soon wonder, why they are sitting in that class. The U of N and Media Village have acknowledged this fact and so provide education at the point of need.  You learn what you want to know, and as you realize that you need more information, the learning continues.

The approach has resulted in three-month modules (schools) where learning is focused and intensive.  Suddenly learning comes to life and the long-term retention of this method has proved to be motivational to learners and teachers.
