SCHOOLS

Media Village offers the following schools, namely: DiscipleshipTraining School (DTS.COM), School of Writing for Mass Media (SWMM), School of Digital Video Production (SVP), School of 3D Communication (S3D), School of Radio Broadcasting (SRB), School of Communication Foundation (SCF) and School of Digital Photography and Storytelling (SDPS).

These schools may not run every year, as courses are dependant on the number of students applying and school leadership.  For more information on what schools are currently been offered write to info@mediavillage.info.

After the completion of the DTS, a student can either continue studying to obtain a degree, or an associate degree with the College of Communication. Students also have the option to study subjects individually.

Accreditation

All courses, including internships, offer 12 credits towards a University of the Nations degree, in the College of Communication.
DTS is a pre-requisite for a U of N degree.
An internship is recommended for most courses.

Media Village is currently in the process of gaining accreditation from ICHTI and SAQA.

Internships

Media Village prepares students for working in the world of mass communication. The schools are a period of preparation, laying academic foundations. After the successful completion of a school, Media Village will assist students by either providing internships or assisting in placing students.

Internships can either be in an industry or mission context. It is during the internship phase that students are able to apply their learnt knowledge. The Internship phase lasts for a period of 12 weeks. U of N degree students obtain 12 credits towards their degree at the completion of an internship.

Training & Production

In our attempt to keep training relevant and industry based, Media Village has a fully operational production facility, which means that training happens in a production environment, allowing students to see the application of their skills. Visit Media Village Production here.
