Media Village

Media Village is situated in the beautiful fishing village of Kalk Bay about 30 km from the city centre (25 minutes drive by car). We are conveniently situated close to Cape Point - where two oceans meet - and directly on the coast of False Bay. It takes about 15 minutes to arrive in the world of Penguins, called Boulder's Beach.

In winter, we are in the perfect spot for whale watching. Can you imagine having a graceful entertainment from whales jumping during lectures? We also have a stunning balcony overlooking the sea - it takes you closer to heaven. Media Village facility was a former hotel and all student rooms have en suite bathrooms. We share meals in a dining room with an old restaurant look & feel.

Kalk Bay

Kalk Bay itself has much to offer. Students and visitors can browse through the many and varied antique, craft and art shops or savour the delights of the restaurants. A visit to the harbour is an absolute MUST. When the fishermen return with their catch, listen to the 'locals' barter prices on the catch of the day. For the sports enthusiasts there are 2 excellent country clubs with first class golf courses. You can visit marine reserves, swim in the tidal pool or watch the Southern Right Whales from the balcony (Sept-Nov).
